After Lisbon, we made our way to Ericeira, a small surfing village that is very chilled. This coastal town is full of cobbled streets, ocean views.

Surfing
Ericeira is all about the sea, so it only made sense to dive straight into its surf culture. I booked a lesson with Surfrider & Co., and they couldn’t have been better.
Whether you’re a total beginner (like me) or already know your way around a board, they make the experience so much fun. But let me tell you, the waves here are no joke.
After mornings in the water, the routine was simple: acai bowls. There’s no shortage of cafes in town serving up these bowls of goodness.
Eating (and Drinking)

Let’s talk food. If you come to Ericeira, you have to try Tik Tapas. It’s the kind of place where you order a little of everything, share it all. Their wine selection is great too.
In the daytime, we bought Sangria from a bar by the beach and drank this on the beach! For something a bit more casual, Tubo Bar became our go-to spot for drinks in the evening.
At first glance, it seems small and unassuming, with a super calm vibe. But don’t let that fool you, it’s often the spot where everyone in town ends up, as its open the latest. By the evening, the place fills up, and the crowd spills outside.

A Vineyard Adventure

Midway through the week, we decided to switch things up and visit a local vineyard, Quinta de Sant’Ana. The drive there was… let’s say “scenic.” If you go, trust me on this: ask your driver to take the motorway unless you really enjoy winding roads.
Once we got there, though, it was worth every twist and turn. The vineyard is stunning, rolling green hills, stone buildings, and a kind of quiet that feels like a deep breath. We spent the afternoon tasting wine (so good) and just enjoying the views. It was the perfect little detour from our beachy routine.

If you’re thinking of visiting, here are a few musts:
Surf lessons – The waves are powerful, even for beginners.
Try the acai bowls. Perfect for breakfast or an afternoon snack.
Check out Tik Tapas. You’ll want to try everything on the menu.
Stop by Tubo Bar. What starts as a calm beachside drink often turns into a busy bar.
Visit Quinta de Sant’Ana . The wine was so good! And beautiful scenery.
